I am a Richlands native. I had a wonderful start in life as a Richlands Elementary, Trexler Middle and Richlands High student and graduate (RHS Grad 1989).

I continued my education at Coastal Carolina Community College and UNC-Wilmington where I received a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature. I taught 11th & 12th grade English at White Oak HS for seven years and 12th grade English at Northside HS for six years. During the 2001 school year I received National Board Certification in Young Adult/Adolescent Language and Literature.

In 2007 I transitioned to a media coordinator position at White Oak HS while working on my Master's in Library Science degree. I graduated from East Carolina University with an MLS in May 2010. I am now honored to serve as a media coordinator and instructional partner to teachers and students at Richlands Elementary! I am excited about serving students in my home community where I reside with my husband Shannon and daughter Gracie.
