Instructional Technology Facilitator

Hi everyone!  I am so excited to be a part of the fabulous staff at Richlands Elementary School.  As a native to the Richlands School District, I take pride in being a part of this fantastic community!

As the Instructional Technology Facilitator I will be teaching teachers how to utilize the technology that is readily available to them in their classrooms.  I will also be planning and team teaching with the teachers at RES, designing lessons that enable students to utilize 21st Century Technology Tools and Resources.

I graduated from Richlands High School in 2000.  I then attended UNCW where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Science in 2004.  I obtained my Master's degree in Instructional Technology from ECU in 2011.

Teaching Experience

I taught Middle School Science in Duplin County from 2004-2008.  In 2008, I transitioned to Onslow County where I was hired to teach 8th grade science at Trexler Middle School. I served as the Eighth Grade Chair and Science Department Chair while working at Trexler.  I had the pleasure of teaching at Trexler from 2008-2012.  For the 2012-2013 school year I served as the IMPACT/Computer teacher at Stateside Elementary School.  I served all students in grades k-5.  I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the media coordinator to design lessons that were driven by the common core and essential standards with a 21st Century twist, for each grade level.
